Clinical Specialties

Kira specializes in clientele from ages 12 and older as well as couples. Her clinical specialities are in trauma-informed practice which utilizes (EMDR) Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to invite healing and insight with her clients.

Education

Kira earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2021 with an emphasis in individuals and families. Kira obtained her

License as an Independent Social Worker in September of 2023.

About Me

Kira currently resides in the Des Moines metropolitan area. She confidently believes that all of her clients have the innate ability

to heal. Prior to joining Rooted Insights, Kira worked at Kalm Therapy Group and YESS (Youth Emergency Services and Shelter).

Outside of work Kira enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs Milo and Ren, and playing dungeons and dragons with her friends.
